Life

There are very few events in life that don't involve money in some way.  For example, getting married is an exciting time in people's lives but could prove very challenging if both spouses are not on the same page about spending, saving, and using credit.  Having a baby is the quintessential human experience, but according to the US Department of Agriculture (2013) the cost of a middle-income family to raise a child from birth to age 18 is over $245,000!  Buying a house is part of the American dream, but it's also the largest financial transaction that most people will make in their lives!

So many of these life's events involve very specific, complex financial information, beyond basic concepts in the framework for building your financial house.   It pays to take a closer look at the financial issues surrounding them in order to make good choices and plan accordingly.
